Bridgewater dedicated an innovative Veterans Memorial Kiosk on Saturday, April 6th at a well- attended ribbon cutting on the steps of Burnham Library. Bridgewater officials and volunteers worked together to research the names and military records of over seven hundred residents who served in the military from the Revolutionary War to the present. Inscribed “Bridgewater Honors All of Our Veterans,” the kiosk was procured from Advanced Kiosks in New Hampshire.

This touchscreen and keyboard accessible structure, located at the main entrance to the library, represents a unique and updatable digital record of all Bridgewater’s veterans. Joseph Buchheit (USA-ret), who chaired the town’s Veterans Committee, stated “We are halfway to our goal now and can’t wait for Phase II of the project in the form of a stone monument recognizing our Veteran citizens.” The ribbon-cutting was performed by Veteran Committee member Jaak Aulik (Captain, USMC).

After the dedication, attendees were welcomed at a reception in the library.
